AdaptAccounts for Paradox

AdaptAccounts for Paradox is a legacy version that is no longer available.

AdaptAccounts for Paradox is a file-server database version based on the Paradox database (Borland Database Engine). A major problem with such file-server databases is their lack of support for transaction commit/rollback. In the event of a database server failure the user cannot simply rollback any uncommitted transactions. The only option is to restore the database to its last known good backup and then reenter all transactions since that time. Although such events appear to be rare their consequences are very severe.

The reliability and performance advantages of AdaptAccounts for SQL Server 2008 plus the availability of the free Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Edition are very significant.

We have recommended for some time that users of AdaptAccounts for Paradox who have not already upgraded to AdaptAccounts for SQL Server should consider doing so.
