Import Payables transactions

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This task Imports transactions that have already been loaded into the Accounts Payable transaction import tables.

Loading the Import tables may be done using any appropriate method for the underlying database. The transactions could have originated anywhere such as another application, a web interface or other source. However they originate they are first loaded into the Import tables.

Valid transactions are posted to the permanent transaction tables and removed from the Import tables. Invalid transactions remain in the Import tables and their ErrorID field specifies the error encountered.

NoteButton This task uses a database stored procedure that can specify a range of ApImportIDs to be imported. The stored procedure can be invoked externally to AdaptAccounts and can specify a range as small as a single transaction. This means an external process can insert a transaction into the Accounts Payable transaction import tables and immediately cause it to be imported. Usually that external process calls that stored procedure so this task is not typically used within the AdaptAccounts client.
