The structure of the Chart of Accounts refers to
Ø Account segments (i.e. Financial, Department, Division, Fund or whatever)
Ø the order of those segments - which is first, which is second etc.
Ø separator characters, if any, such as "-" or "." between those segments
Use the General Ledger setup task to set up the structure.
Once you have established the Chart of Accounts structure, you must save this structure, exit this task and proceed to the Chart of Accounts maintenance task . When you are finished setting up your accounts you may then return to the General Ledger setup task and fill in the General Ledger Types and Roles.
