Use this task to change information for the current Company.

Name

This is the name used on Reports.

 

Address .. Country

Optional identification fields.

 

Phone .. Email

Optional informational fields.

 

Federal Tax ID

For a Company in the U.S.A. this is their Federal Taxpayer ID (for Income Tax purposes).
For a Company in another country this is the equivalent to a Federal Taxpayer ID.

 

State Tax ID

For a Company in the U.S.A. this is their State Taxpayer ID (for Income Tax purposes).
For a Company in another country this is the equivalent to a State Taxpayer ID.

 

Base CurrencyID

Base Currency for this Company. This field is displayed when Currency Manager is installed. The value is specified at the database level e.g. using SQL Server Management Studio and is not editable here. The default is ‘USD’.

 

Vat

Checked means VAT (or GST or equivalent) tax applies to this Company.
Unchecked means it doesn’t.

 

Vat Title

When Vat is checked this field specifies the abbreviation for that tax such as VAT or GST or HST or MOMS etc.

 

Vat License

When Vat is checked this field specifies the VAT License.

Options | Empty Database...

When a Company database is initially created it contains sample data. Select Options | Empty Database… to prepare that database for production use.

 

Options | Validate Date Formats...

Valid Date values in AdaptAccounts for SQL Server use a time value of 00:00. Date values inserted and updated using AdaptAccounts follow this protocol. However, if Date values have been inserted or updated by other processes they may have other values for their time value. Select Options | Validate Date Formats… to ensure that all Date values have a time value of 00:00.
