The Country table is preloaded for all Countries. Countries that are checked as Active are presented in drop-down lists when selecting the CountryID for Customer and Supplier records etc.
To avoid presenting Countries that are not relevant to you it is a good idea to ensure that only relevant Countries are Checked and the others are Unchecked.
The CountryID is based on the internet Country Code top level domain. In some cases you may wish to change it.
The Name in the Country table is used to develop expanded addresses for mailing labels etc. You may also wish to edit some of these names to conform to your own preferences.
State maintenance
The State table is preloaded for the United States, Canada and Australia. Use this State maintenance tabsheet to set up States for other Countries applicable to you.
