Customer maintenance

Use this task to add new Customers, to change information about existing Customers and to delete inactive Customers and maintain control information.

 

Use the Customer Group tabsheet to maintain your list of Customer Groups. Note that there must be a record with a Customer GroupID of ‘n/a’ in the Customer Group table before you can add or Import Customers.

 

Note that when the Sales module is installed then there must be a record with a SalesRepID of ‘n/a’ in the SalesRep table as well as a record with a SalesTax Code of ‘n/a’ in the SalesTax table before you can add or Import Customers.

 

Use the Customer tabsheet to specify the common Customer information used in Accounts Receivable and Sales. The address and similar fields here refer to the BillTo address. The ShipTo address and similar fields are maintained using the ShipTo | Edit tabsheet.

NoteButton The Active checkbox may be checked or unchecked on an individual Customer basis. Only Customers that are checked are shown in a Customer lookup list or available for Customer List maintenance.

 

PrintButton Click this button or use File | Print... to print a listing of Customers.
