Facilities

The System Manager provides facilities used by all Applications and Companies. It is at the center of an AdaptAccounts system and is always present. System Manager tasks may only be run by the System Administrator.

 

Companies

AdaptAccounts supports setting up any number of Companies.

Login Company maintenance supports adding new Companies, deleting existing unused Companies and de-activating or re-activating an existing Company.

 

Company maintenance supports changing Company information for the current Company.

 

Users

AdaptAccounts supports setting up any number of users. Each user has a unique UserID. The System Administrator user is created when AdaptAccounts is first installed. The System Administrator has a UserID of 1 and has access rights to all tasks.
 
The System Administrator grants task access rights on a per user basis by Application and Group (Transactions, Maintenance, Inquiry and Reports). The Applications menus for a user show only those Applications and Groups to which they have access. Applications and Groups to which they do not have access are not shown.

 

Passwords

Password facilities support maintenance and Login validation of User passwords.

Password facilities support maintenance and Login validation of Company passwords.

 

Serial maintenance

Serial maintenance supports maintenance and allocation of serialized values such as Transaction ID values. Each Company has its own set of serialized values.

 

VAT/GST maintenance

This task is only available for a Company whose VAT field is checked. It supports maintenance of the applicable Vat codes and rates. See VAT/GST maintenance for more information.

 

Country and State maintenance

Country and State maintenance supports setting Countries as Active or Inactive, adding new Countries if applicable and setting up States for Countries whose States are not already setup.

 

Database Developer/Administrator

Database Developer/Administrator documents the database schema and Applications, Task Groups and Tasks organization.
