Inquiry forms are used to view information that is already in the database. They are optimized for viewing and do not support editing. This makes it convenient for the System Administrator to grant Inquiry rights to a User for an application while not granting them Transaction or Maintenance rights for example.
It is also possible to view all the records in the table using the Browse tab. The Browse sheet is a grid of all the fields in the underlying table. It is then possible for the user to change the sort order for the entire table.
